Bodies By Sav Brings a Sassy Workout

A sweaty workout with a side of Savannah Butler sunshine — that’s how I would describe the sweat sessions that my favorite SoulCycle (and now SculptHouse, too) teacher is delivering on Instagram. 

Since I discovered her SoulCycle classes a few years ago, I’ve been a fan of this gal. It was love at first tap-back. I mean, this lady’s energy and approach to teaching is like a little ray of sassy sunshine that always leaves me feeling ready to take on the world.

Given the fitness studios are currently out of commission due to COVID-19, Savannah has started offering free workouts live on Instagram Monday through Friday at noon. They are typically available live on her own Instagram page, but she announces the where and when in her stories in advance (so you know where to go). And regardless of whether you can catch the live version, most of the workouts live permanently on the @BodiesBy_Sav Instagram page. 

Classes are typically about 45 minutes and require minimal equipment (think a towel for arm work). Each workout you’ll do a bit of dancing around for cardio, and then resistance work. Some days focus on full body exercises, while others focus on legs and core, or upper body. 

I recently did a full body workout where no equipment was required — and even I was huffing and puffing as we approached the end. And even though Savannah is filming these solo in her home, she brings the sass and energy that I love (and need) to make it through a workout that kicks my butt.
