3 Virtual Boxing Class Options for the New Year

Amelia at a boxing class

Grab your gloves and get ready to jab — it’s Boxing Day! I thought I’d have a little fun with the British holiday that was once a day when the rich used to box up gifts to the poor. So, I’m giving you the gift of three virtual boxing class options. And bonus, each brand offers free trials!

  • Tribe Studio (five-day free trial). My cardio kickboxing guru — that’s what I’d call Tiffany Bowers, owner of this South Florida studio. Many moons ago when I lived in South Florida, Tiffany was my boss and mentor at the LA Fitness clubs where I taught cardio kickboxing and other classes. To this day, when I teach anything boxing-related, I aspire to have the same level of energy, creative choreography, and attention to good form that Tiffany always nailed during her classes. Now, she has her own studio and has launched an on-demand selection of classes, including everything from a 25-minute kickboxing express class to an hour-long Fight Club class.

  • Variis App (seven-day free trial). As the proud owner of a SoulCyle at-home bike by Variis, I’m now also a subscriber to the Variis App (which you can purchase, even if you don’t have a bike). The app offers programming from brands like Equinox, SoulCycle, PURE Yoga — and Rumble, a boxing workout. Class options include a 45-minute Title Fight and a 20-minute beginner Shadowboxing Burn.

  • TITLE Boxing Club (seven-day free trial). In addition to physical club locations across the country, TITLE also offers a library of on-demand classes that are updated weekly. Class options include boxing, kickboxing, speed and agility, strength, and recovery, and range from five to 45 minutes.

P.S. Looking for a personalized approach to your wellness experience? I’ve spent a decade working as a wellness journalist — visiting more than 50 spas from Vail to Vienna — and 20 years in the fitness industry. The picks for my City Wellness Guides are based on my experience.
